Leave a gift in your Will to restore Lake Pedder

‘Is there any reason why Tasmania should not be more beautiful on the day we leave it, than on the day we came?’ – Olegas Truchanas, 1972

Create a lasting legacy

Generations of Tasmanians have campaigned for the restoration of Lake Pedder. Their commitment to honouring earth’s natural integrity has inspired the global movement of valuing and protecting nature. By leaving a gift in your Will to restore Lake Pedder you can help sustaining the movement into the future. Your contribution will help build the restoration case through engaging experts in ecology, engineering, law, energy and economics, and by growing our support base. This is critical for motivating the decision for restoring Lake Pedder, and ensuring the restoration is done with integrity. No matter the size of the bequest, your generosity will make a difference.

How to make a bequest to restore Lake Pedder

If you decide to leave a gift in your Will to restore Lake Pedder, you may wish to discuss your intentions with your family to ensure they understand why this is important to you. We also recommend that you seek independent legal advice when creating or amending your Will.

Below is the suggested wording for your Will, depending on the type of bequest you are making. This wording is not compulsory, but it is a useful guide to ensure that your wishes are carried out.

  • If you wish to leave a specified amount of money to Restore Lake Pedder:

I declare that the receipt of any authorised officer of Lake Pedder Restoration Incorporated shall form valid discharge to my executor.

  • If you wish to leave a specific asset, such as a piece of artwork, to restore Lake Pedder:
